This new four-story building infills an empty lot on an important street in the Morris Canal neighborhood in Jersey City, transitioning from a commercial corner at the heart of the neighborhood to the more residential character of the rest of the block.

The apartments are all two bedrooms, with large windows in projecting bays that provide lots of daylight into the units. The bays are placed to help the building fit the smaller-scale rhythm of it’s neighbors. Attention is paid to the materials, window size and placement to relate the street elevation to the historic fabric in this up and coming neighborhood.
